Job Summary
Serves as an Environmental Program Manager the HQ, Installation Management Command (IMCOM), the Regional Directorates and installations.
Major Duties
- Develop plans through the interpretation and application of higher echelon policies and regulations.
- Serve as the representative at agency level meetings/conferences concerning installation and/or Region environmental programs.
- Ensure organization is in full compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and standards.
- Cooperate with other environmental leaders and service components in developing and implementing necessary plans, and procedures.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to one of the majors, as shown in A above, that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes develop, appraise, and extend environmental policies to new and unprecedented studies and to prepare management advisories on such studies; administrative planning, negotiating to provide advice to representatives representing the agency to effect solutions to potentially controversial environmental matters; environmental ordinances, laws, and requirements governing environmental media, qualitative and quantitative methods for improvement of the environmental programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12]). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range
$91,876.00 - $119,442.00
