596th Transportation Brigade provides surface deployment and distribution services from Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, Military Ocean Terminal Concord, the West Coast and Alaska, in order to project combat power and lethality and meet our nation's strategic objectives.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. BASIC REQUIREMENT FOR A PHYSICAL SCIENTIST (ENVIRONMENTAL):

A. Must possess a degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. (Note: You must submit your transcripts with your application package.) OR

B. Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (Note: You must submit your transcripts with your application package.) In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position, you must also meet the specialized experience qualification listed below: Specialized Experience required: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves applying theories, principles, and techniques of environmental science; Environmental Management System and National Environmental Policy Act, and Pollution Prevention Programs program management; and experience as contracting officers technical representative to complete studies, surveys, design of compliance/pollution prevention projects and take corrective actions of noncompliance situations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range

$74,596.00 - $96,978.00
