Job Summary

Major Duties
- Develop and instruct classes of appropriate undergraduate-level depth and breadth.
- Review literature and consults with instructors in other programs to keep current in new techniques.
- Present lectures, demonstrations, pro-sections, specific detailed regional dissections, and practical exercises.
- Conduct secondary research in the fields of human anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirement for Professor of Anatomy and Physiology: A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes instructing courses in physiology, anatomy and neuroscience; preparing and updating student handouts as required; designing and developing courses for Physical Therapy, Nurse Anesthesia and other undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate level programs as assigned; preparing and utilizing appropriate, accurate audio-visual aids; maintaining contemporary expertise in physiology, anatomy and neuroscience; consulting with licensed or certified clinicians to identify contemporary trends in clinical practice and update physiology, anatomy and neuroscience course content to reflect changing trends; AND directing cadaver dissection and preparing cadaveric specimens. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Pay Range
$89,011.00 - $115,711.00
