NIST’s Thermodynamics Research Center (TRC) is seeking highly motivated individuals working toward their degree and eager to learn to join our team. TRC is a world leader in the capture, evaluation and modelling of thermodynamic property data for both organic chemical species and metal alloys. The incumbent will provide engineering support under close supervision to project leaders involved in reviewing and evaluating experimentally derived thermophysical property data to be collected from scientific literature with an emphasis on well-characterized molecular organic compounds and their binary and ternary mixtures. Contribute to design and performance analysis of both guided data capture and expert system software designed by TRC, particularly in the application of such software to chemically relevant systems.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Applicants must be currently pursuing a degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that includes 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. Pay Range

$24,845.00 - $55,983.00
