Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER in the ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS LINE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. This position is limited to OAHU only. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.
Major Duties
- You will provide leadership, supervision, coaching, mentoring, performance management of direct reports.
- You will oversee annual budget for the environmental compliance program to ensure funds are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- You will coordinate with sponsors, other engineers and professionals to ensure environmental projects satisfy customer requirements.
- You will develop environmental compliance solutions, instructions, and guidance to address environmental requirements at Navy shore installations.
Qualifications
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Registration as a Professional Engineer in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Do you meet this requirement? NOTE: You must submit a copy of registration with your application to be considered for this position. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing expert consultation in compliance services and products in any of the following program areas: wastewater/water, hazardous and solid waste, underground storage tanks, air quality, asbestos, and spill prevention control. 2) Developing/leading initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the oversight and execution of compliance products and services. 3) Working closely with federal, State, and local regulators and agencies to represent the agency in controversial environmental compliance topics. 4) Reviewing productivity and efficiency of an environmental compliance program, such as planning budget, allocating resources, scheduling manpower, etc.

Pay Range
$111,163.00 - $144,510.00
