Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY EBVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER in the Environmental Storefront of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% will be added to the stated salary.

Major Duties

  • You will provide technical guidance to the assigned Environmental engineers.
  • You will exercise surveillance over the regulatory aspects of assigned programs and its administration.
  • You will assist managers within the area in complying with environmental regulations? requirements.
  • You will serve as liaison support to Media Manager subject matter experts for regulatory and other outside agencies regarding assigned installation environmental compliance programs.
  • You will prepare environmental studies and management documents.
  • You will be responsible for technical and administrative supervision of Environmental Engineers and Environmental Protection Specialists.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Anticipating, interpreting and applying pertinent environmental policy directions and regulations; 2) Analyzing the status of the installation's program, identifying factors affecting program progress or non-compliance and developing appropriate strategies to resolve specific problems; 3) Working as a leader to coordinate with assigned Environmental Engineers/EnvironmentaI Protection Specialists to determine regulatory compliance of existing facilities and equipment, and assessing methods and practices involved in, or planned for the operation and maintenance of such facilities; 4) Establishing operation and maintenance standards for new or unusual installation activities having an adverse impact on assigned programs; and 5) Assisting in conducting annual Environmental Quality Assessments to assess environmental compliance and adequacy of assigned programs. Pay Range

$94,071.00 - $122,296.00
