Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Environmental Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. A Cost-of-Living Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% % will be added to the stated salary.

Major Duties

  • You will track projects through completion by monitoring resources for the job, funding availability and balance, and completion timetables.
  • You will conduct weekly walk-throughs to identify, minimize and evaluate potential violations to regulations and prepares reports of findings.
  • You will perform final inspection of completed work prior to requesting clean certificates.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying hazardous waste concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the independent performance of collection, handling, storage and disposal operations; 2) Identifying environmental problems and hazards found at shops of various activities; 3) Applying basic chemistry to identify properties and hazardous characteristics of chemical elements and compounds and to interpret and consolidate findings of sample waste analysis; and 4) Using operating equipment such as pH meters and chemical analysis and repackaging of a variety of materials and wastes. Pay Range

$66,002.00 - $85,801.00
