MajorDuties
- Supervising staff employees engaged in execution of the full-spectrum of the Army Environmental Program (to include environmental compliance, pollution prevention, installation overseas restoration, and conservation programs).
- Developing and implements installation plans, policies, directives and guidance required for the effective execution of the environmental program.
- Providing staff assistance and direction to installation elements and subordinate activities.
- Maintaining awareness of current and emerging environmental regulations and policies.
- Monitoring impact on mission and operations and advises commander accordingly.
- Evaluating effectiveness of program consonance with Department of Army goals objectives.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: evaluating compliance and effectiveness of an environmental program; advising staff on environmental requirements; and analyzing and interpreting environmental laws and regulations for appropriate application. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-12. $78,681.00 - $102,288.00
