Job Summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary in the Environment Division within the Public Works Department of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. This position is for a Supervisory Environmental Engineer 0819 OR a Supervisory General Physical Science 1301.
Major Duties
- You will assign daily tasks of staff members to ensure work is completed based on priorities and capabilities of the employees.
- You will maintain relationships with federal and state regulatory and enforcement agencies to discuss environmental restoration standards and remedial actions needed.
- You will monitor environmental compliance projects to ensure they are programmed, budgeted, funded and executed by set deadlines
- You will interpret environmental laws, regulations, and policies to ensure technical compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading or overseeing others in adherence to environmental programs, policies, guidelines, regulations, and compliance provisions; 2) Conducting site inspections and work practice evaluations to determine compliance with environmental laws and regulations for multi-media programs; 3) Preparing briefs, official correspondence, or information related to environmental projects and programs; and 4) Planning work to be accomplished by others and setting overall environmental protection program goals and objectives; and 5) Utilizing planning, budgeting, and schedules to coordinate environmental compliance programs. Pay Range
$91,231.00 - $118,603.00
