Job Summary

U.S. CORPS OF ENGINEERS, GALVESTON DISTRICT, OPERATIONS DIVISION As Division Chief, serves as the Civilian Program Director of the Civil Works project operations and facilities maintenance programs.

Major Duties

  • Serve as senior advisor/consultant to the Commander on all aspects of assigned programs.
  • Responsible for the overall programming, management, administration and evaluation of operations within the District's boundaries.
  • Provides supervision and assistance, coordination, review, and implementation of operation's program assigned to subordinate field offices.
  • Regularly applies a comprehensive knowledge of agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements covering civil works operations and recreation and natural resource management activities of the District.
  • Acts as coordinator, consultant, and advisor on technical elements involving operations programs and also provides advice and counsel to the Executive Office on matters that have District-wide impact.
  • Reviews and directs Civil engineering aspects of operations mission including dam safety.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, manage and supervise all aspects of the following unique functions: Reservoir Control, Project Operations, and Navigation Operations

AND 2. Experience directing civil works project operations and facilities maintenance programs. AND 3. Formulating and issuing policies regarding project operations, maintenance and repair of flood control structures and public use recreational facilities. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range

$145,807.00 - $170,800.00
