Job Summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Scientist/Engineer in the Systems Engineering & Integration Division (AIR-4.6.1) of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Major Duties
- You will plan work and prepare performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- You will develop and review relevant program technical and mission documentation associated with development or update of assigned systems.
- You will participate in the development and design of new systems by assessing if available or imminent technology is sufficient to meet requirements or system concepts are applicable to fleet operational requirements.
- You will identify developmental and training needs of employees, and provide or arrange for needed development and training.
- You will develop and manage a comprehensive program to develop defined portions of major systems.
- You will represent assigned systems at program reviews, contract reviews, briefings, budget hearings, etc.
- You will ensure that state of the art systems engineering practices are being employed by both contractor and government team members in the execution of a program.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NM-04 pay band (GS-13/14 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying elements of human systems integration during design, development, prototyping, integration, acquisition, production, and in-service support of transformational technologies for Training, Aviation Life Support and Survival Systems; 2) Planning and developing assigned system technical requirements, developing and implementing program plans, sustainment engineering, fleet support, and coordinating assigned work efforts with government sites and contractors; 3) Conducting training for and leading the infusion of system engineering process improvements; 4) Evaluating and reviewing test results and recommending appropriate action. Pay Range
$121,316.00 - $170,800.00
