This workshop, taking place at the Ohio State University (OSU), is for middle and high school teachers and introductory-level university instructors who want to incorporate argumentative writing and evidence-based claims in their classes. Aimed at science, social studies, and English language arts teachers, the workshop frames argument as a skill that spans the disciplines. Participants will learn how to teach argument through lessons and hands-on activities and develop instructional materials. They will also tour OSU's Byrd Center Archives and the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center.
