Abstract:

Idaho's annual revenue from mining and mineral processing was $883 million in 1990, the latest year of available figures. Nearly all of these sales reflect labor, goods, and services generated in Idaho, and most of the products were exported from Idaho. This revenue is still a very large balance of trade, one that still compares favorably with other revenue entering the state. Indirect or ripple effects from mining revenue contribute further to the Idaho economy.
