The Spring 2016 Virtual Poster Showcase winners have been announced on AGU's website and was sponsored by multiple organizations within the geosciences, and the AGI Federation including: the Geological Society of America, and the Council on Undergraduate Research. The American Meteorological Society also contributed. In addition to a high resolution image of the posters, you can also watch videos of the student presentations. This was a program started to allow participation for students unable to travel to a major meeting. The first place winner was Trista McKenzie at University of Hawai'i at Manoa, second place was Stephanie Gardener at Westminster College in Utah and third place was awarded to Timothy Chui, at the University of British Columbia. There is an upcoming opportunity to participate in the next Virtual Poster Showcase this fall. Abstracts will be accepted from August 8 - September 28th, and is hosted by AGU open to students globally.
