The official contest period for 2017 Imperial Barrel Award (IBA) from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) is now open. The IBA competition is an annual prospective basin evaluation competition for geoscience graduate students from universities around the world. The 2016 Winners, the University of Texas at El Paso Southwestern Section Team was announced at the 2016 AAPG-ACE, and their prize included the Imperial Barrel Award and $20,000.
