The American Society of Civil Engineers, which houses AGI Member Organization the Geo-Institute celebrated the passage of bill S.2848, the "Water Resources Development Act of 2016" in the Senate. In the statement they noted that several programs championed by ASCE such as a dam rehabilitation program housed in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were included.
