The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) announced that Fort Hays State University (FHSU) Professor, Hendratta Ali is the recipient of the 2017 Inspirational Geoscience Educator Award Winner. She has taught a variety of geoscience courses at FHSU since 2010, and during her tenure her students have earned eight research awards at professional conferences. She will be presented with her award, and $1,000 at the AAPG Annual Conference and Exposition in Houston, Texas.
