The Center for Geoscience & Society deploys expertise through flexible, tailored consulting, and collaborative services that are compatible with its mission to build awareness of geoscience in action.

Projects:

The Center provides curriculum design support for the Michigan Science, Technology, and Assessment Reform (MiSTAR) Project, which is developing a middle school integrated science curriculum that aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards and incorporates content that is relevant to Michigan.

The Center has a memorandum of understanding with Schlumberger, and has taken other steps, to initiate the International Geoscience and Energy Education Teacher Training Program to enhance energy awareness through instructional activity development and teacher professional development.

The Center is consulting with organizations and coalitions in several countries to support efforts to extend to internationalize Earth Science Week.
