EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency will hold a meeting for the EPA’s Children’s Health Protection, to advice on science, regulations and other issues relating to children’s environmental health. FEMA - Federal Emergency Management Agency is looking for qualified individuals interested in serving on the Technical Mapping Advisory Council. The duties would include working with FEMA Administrator in improving accuracy, quality and distribution of flood insurance rate maps. Application deadline is December 2, 2013. DOI - Department of the Interior is seeking comments on the Annual Progress Report on the Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program. The report details sales, number and location of lease blocks that have occurred in the previous year. The comment period is open until December 2, 2013. EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency announced the availability for public review and comment of their draft of Climate Change Adaptation Implementation Plans. In February 2013, EPA published this draft in response to the President's October 2009 Executive Order. Comments should be received before January 3, 2014. EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency announced the meeting of the National Drinking Water Advisory Council on December 11 and 12 in Washington, D.C. DOI - The Department of the Interior is seeking information on leasing of sulphur or oil and gas in the Outer Continental Shelf and Pipeline Rights of Way. The information collection is open for 60 days. [Monday, November 4, 2013, (Vol. 78, No. 213)]

EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency is extending the public comment period for the rule, “Revisions to Reporting and Recordkeeping Requirements, and Proposed Confidentiality Determinations under the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program.” Send comments to ghgreportingcbi@epa.gov by November 26, 2013. NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has renewed the charter of the

NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has issued a renewal and amendment of the charter of the NASA Advisory Council for two years. The renewal is for two years and is identical to the previous charter in all respects except with regard to information pertaining to annual operating costs and number of meetings per year. DOD - The Department of Defense announced a meeting to inform GPS simulator manufacturers, who supply products to the Department of Defense (DoD), and GPS simulator users, both government and DoD contractors, that the GPS Directorate will host a GPS Satellite Simulator Control Working Group. EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency has decided to pause the development of the draft Quality Standards for Data Collection. OSTP - The Office of Science and Technology Policy issued an information request for the development of a National Plan for Civil Earth Observations. NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is proposing to remove from its regulation agency procedures for closeout of grants and cooperative agreements. DOD - The Department of Defense announced an open meeting of the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program, Scientific Advisory Board. The purpose of the meeting is to review new start research and development projects requesting Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program funds in excess of $1 million over the proposed length of the project. EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency invites nominations of candidates to be considered for a three-year appointment to the National Drinking Water Advisory Council. The council was created under the Safe Drinking Water Act and provides advice on activities, functions, policies, and regulations of the EPA. Nominations should be submitted before Dec. 20, 2013. The EPA is proposing to amend certain provisions of the Fluorinated Gas Production source category of the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule. The changes would reduce the level of detail in which emissions were reported, establish a new set of default global warming potentials, eliminate the mass-balance emission calculation method, and clarify the emission factor method. They are also proposing

DOE - The Department of Energy announces a meeting of the DOE/NSF Nuclear Science

EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency announced a meeting of the National and Governmental Advisory Committees to the U.S. Representative to the Commission for Environmental Cooperation.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide advice on the 20th anniversary of the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation and to discuss other trade and environment issues in North America. The meeting will be held on December 17 and will include a public comment session.

DOE - The Department of Energy announces a meeting of the Nuclear Energy Advisory Committee to be held on December 19. The committee is designed to provide advice on technical, policy and scientific issues that for DOE nuclear energy programs.  The public is welcome to offer comments and suggestions here. NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration announces a meeting of the Technology and Innovation Committee of the NASA Advisory Council. The purpose of the meeting is to review status of activities within the Office of the Chief Technologist. EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency is amending EPA is amending the 2013 Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule. The amendment will revise values for certain greenhouse gases in the Rule's table of global warming potentials. The final rule is effective on January 1, 2014. USGS - The United States Geological Survey announced the National Geospatial Advisory Committee will meet on December 11. The purpose of the committee is to advise the Chair of the Federal Geographic Data Committee on management of Federal geospatial programs.
