Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Public Advisory Committee; Call for Nominations

November 15, 2018 – The Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council is soliciting nominations for the Public Advisory Committee. The Public Advisory Committee advises the Trustee Council on decisions related to the planning, evaluation, funds allocation, and conduct of injury assessment and restoration activities related to the T/V Exxon Valdez oil spill of March 1989. Public Advisory Committee members will be selected and appointed by the Secretary of the Interior to serve a 2-year term. All nominations must be received by December 17, 2018. [83 FR 57503]

Call for Expert Reviewers To Contribute to the U.S. Government Review of the Second and Third Special Reports To Be Undertaken by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) During the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) Cycle

November 20, 2018 – The Department of State, in cooperation with the United States Global Change Research Program (USGCRP), requests expert review of the second-order drafts of the IPCC special reports on land and on oceans, including the first draft of each report's summary for policymakers. Experts wishing to contribute to the U.S. Government Review are encouraged to register via the USGCRP Review and Comment System (https://review.globalchange.gov/). National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants and New Source Performance Standards: Petroleum Refinery Sector Amendments

November 26, 2018 – EPA has finalized amendments to the petroleum refinery National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) (referred to as Refinery MACT 1 and Refinery MACT 2) and to the New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) for Petroleum Refineries to clarify requirements.
