DOI - The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) proposed new rules for oil, gas, and sulphur outer continental shelf operations, which would incorporate industry standards while revising existing regulations with regard to blowout preventers, provide reform for well design, control, casing, cementing, subsea containment, and real-time monitoring with the goal of consolidating equipment and operational requirements, as well as processes for completions, workovers, and decommissioning.
