NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has announced the establishment of five NASA Federal Advisory Committees. These committees are the Astrophysics, Heliophysics, Earth Science, Planetary Science, and Human Exploration and Operations Research Advisory Committees. USDA - The United States Forest Service Lyon-Mineral Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) has given notice of a meeting to occur at the on January 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The meeting will address new project proposals and an update on current and completed projects. OSTP - The Soil Science Interagency Working Group (SSIWG) is requesting information for the development of a Framework for a Federal Strategic Plan for Soil Science. The SSIWG is requesting public comments on this framework. Comments must be submitted by January 10, 2017. [Volume 81, Number 234 (Tuesday, December 6, 2016)]

DOI - The Department of the Interior (DOI) has proposed a rule that would preserve, manage, and protect paleontological resources on lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the National Park Service, and the Fish and Wildlife Service. DOI is now accepting comments on the proposed rule. [Volume 81, Number 235 (Wednesday, December 7, 2016)]

EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released its final report on the 2012 National Lakes Assessment. [Volume 81, Number 236 (Thursday, December 8, 2016)]
