NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) invites public self-nominations for service on the NASA Federal advisory committees. The deadline for receipt of nominations is September 30. [Volume 80, Issue 170 (September 2, 2015)]

NSF - The National Science Foundation (NSF) announces an Advisory Committee for Geosciences meeting on October 21 and 22 at the National Science Foundation building in Arlington, VA. [Volume 80, Issue 171 (September 3, 2015)]

BOEM - The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) calls for information and nominations as a first step in a multi-sale process covering proposed lease sales to be included in the Draft Proposed Five Year Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Oil and Gas Leasing Program for 2017–2022. NOAA - The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) gives notice of an Ocean Exploration Advisory Board meeting to discuss and provide advice on Federal ocean exploration programs. The meeting will take place on October 1 and 2 at the University of Rhode Island. [Volume 80, Number 174 (September 9, 2015)]

DOE - The Department of Energy (DOE) announces an open meeting of the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board (SEAB) on September 25 in Washington, D.C. [Volume 80, Issue 175 (September 10, 2015)]

DOI - The Department of the Interior (DOI) Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE) announces the extension of the comment period on the proposed stream protection rule and the draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) and draft regulatory impact analysis (RIA). Comments must be received by October 26. [Volume 80, Issue 175 (September 10, 2015)]

DOI - The Department of the Interior (DOI), Office of Environmental Policy and Compliance announces a request to renew the collection of information for: The Alternatives Process in Hydropower Licensing. Collection will be made by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Public comments should be submitted to the OMB by October 19, 2015. [Volume 80, Issue 180 (September 17, 2015)]

EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed a rule to amend the new source performance standards (NSPS) in the oil/gas source category. They are setting new standards specifically for methane and volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions with respect to certain equipment. [Volume 80, Issue 181 (September 18, 2015)]

NSF - The National Science Foundation (NSF) announces a meeting that will be held by the Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering. The meeting will be on October 15, 2015 and will be held at the NSF building in Arlington, VA. The purpose of the meeting will be to study data, programs, policies, and other information providing advice and ideas concerning broadening the participation in STEM fields. NOAA - The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) posted notice of a public meeting/ submission of public comments with regards to the Coral Reef Conservation Program. The U.S. Coral Reef Task Force will host the meeting to be held in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on October 29th. There will be designated time for public comments, all comments must be submitted in writing before the meeting. Among other issues, commenters may address general coral reef conservation issues. DOE - The Department of Energy (DOE) released a notice of orders granting authority to certain companies to import and export natural gas, liquefied natural gas. The orders are summarized on the Office of Fossil Energy’s (FE) website. [Volume 80, Issue 183 (September 22, 2015)]

NSF - The National Science Foundation (NSF) posted a notice of received permit applications under the regulation of the Antarctic Conservation Act of 1978 to conduct activities in the region. Parties that are interested in the permit application are invited to submit their written interests by October 22, 2015 to the Permit Office. [Volume 80, Issue 183 (September 22, 2015)]

DOE – The Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Nuclear Science Advisory Committee (NSAC) released notice of an open meeting on October 15 at 9:00-5:30 pm and October 16 at 9-11:30 am. It will be held at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) conference center. The meeting is called to review priorities with regards to the field of basic nuclear science research. It is open to the public, written statements are being accepted; the meeting will also be broadcasted live on the internet and will be archived. [Volume 80, Issue 185 (September 24, 2015)]

NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced a meeting of the Subcommittee of the Astrophysics NASA Advisory Council (NAC) that will be held October 22 from 9-5:00 pm and October 23 from 11:00-5:00 pm (EDT) at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, MD. The meeting will encompass soliciting information from the community that will prove relevant to the program planning, the meeting will be open to the public, as long as there is enough room. DOI - The Department of the Interior’s (DOI) Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has invited the public to submit feedback on BOEM’s offshore renewable energy program. The comments should be submitted by December 29, 2015. They can be submitted electronically or postmarked. Currently, BOEM has issued nine commercial wind energy leases.
