AGI Celebrates Groundwater Week With Water Science Resources
The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) is pleased to support member society National Ground Water Association’s Groundwater Week (December 3-6, 2018) with a new online resource pulling together AGI water science resources.
The new web page — Let’s Talk About Water — discusses the importance of groundwater science and highlights AGI water science resources dealing with education, workforce, policy, scholarly information issues, and more.
As AGI Executive Director Allyson Anderson Book states, “Often we seek out the life-sustaining natural resource of water without much thought. But we consume water without worries only until a crisis threatens the availability of water or its safety. That’s where geoscientists come in.” Groundwater Week sheds light on one of the world’s most important resources: groundwater. According to the National Ground Water Association, groundwater is essential for the health and well-being of humanity and the environment.
