AGI Webinar: Linking AP Courses and Earth Science Literacy with Departmental Sustainability
The American Geological Institute (AGI) Workforce Program is hosting a free webinar on January 26, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm EST. The webinar is part of the GeoConnection Webinar Series and will focus on linking AP courses and earth science literacy with college and university department sustainability.
Join AGI for a discussion regarding where Advance Placement (AP) courses fit into the broader issues of improving earth science education and geosciences departments. Presentations will be given by Jill Karsten from the National Science Foundation, Christopher Lazzaro from the College Board, and Robert Ridky with the U.S. Geological Survey. Speakers will discuss the connections between U.S. Earth science literacy initiatives, Advanced Placement courses, and college department sustainability. Following their presentations, there will be a 30-minute panel discussion with the speakers.
