Faces of Earth Premiering Monday, July 23 on the Science Channel
Alexandria, VA — The American Geological Institute (AGI) and Evergreen Films production, Faces of Earth, will premiere Monday evening, July 23 on The Science Channel.
This four-part high-definition series will kick off with the first episode, “Building the Planet” airing at 9:00 PM (ET/PT) as part of “Hard Core Week,” a special geology themed week of programming on The Science Channel. “Building the Planet” has been named a finalist in the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival in the “Best Earth Science Program” category. In this episode, viewers witness the birth and evolution of our world, and how it has changed through time, giving us the world and resources we use today. Follow geoscientists as they learn how each part of Earth interacts together through time, protecting us from solar winds to the energy and mineral resources that drive our society.
The series will continue, Thursday nights through August 9, with the episodes “Shaping the Planet”, “Assembling America,” and “A Human World.”
