Earth Science Week 2022 Contest Winners Announced

Earth Science Week 2023 Theme Announced: 'Geoscience Innovating for Earth and People'

AGI Launches Next Generation of Geoscience Online Learning Initiative

Sharon Mosher of University of Texas at Austin Recognized for Service to AGI

Alexandria, Va. — The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) is pleased to recognize Dr. Sharon Mosher, Dean Emeritus in the Department of Geological Sciences at the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin (UT), as the 2022 recipient of the William B. Heroy Jr. Award for Distinguished Service to AGI. This award is given in recognition of exceptional and beneficial long-term service to the Institute. Former AGI Medalist William A. Thomas Passes Away

Alexandria, Va. — The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) shares the news of the passing of colleague and friend Dr. William A. “Bill” Thomas on October 1, 2022. Dr. Thomas served as a Visiting Scientist at the Geological Survey of Alabama since 2010 and was the James S. Hudnall Professor Emeritus of Geology at the University of Kentucky.
