majorite (ma'-jor-ite). A purple to pale yellowish-brown cubic meteorite mineral of the garnet group: Mg₃(Fe,Al,Si)₂(SiO₄)₃ . It possesses silicon in both tetrahedral and octahedral coordinations by oxygen.
