Job Summary

The San Francisco District is comprised of civilian personnel organized into divisions, including Program and Project Management, Engineering and Technical Services, Operations and Readiness, Regulatory, and Resource Management.
Major Duties
- Performs a variety of specialized work in support of the District's civil works planning, design, construction, and operations programs.
- Analyzes the impact of water resources projects on all environmental disciplines.
- Recommends alternative solutions or modifications to water resource projects.
- Develops scopes of work and continuing coordination for those portions of studies accomplished by Fish and Wildlife Service
- Personally performs in-house studies associated with environmental and mitigation planning.
- Participates in public and interagency meetings, and prepares recommendations in order to formulate selected plans.
- Reviews and updates studies as required after authorization to assure compliance with environmental commitments.
- Serves as environmental point-of-contact for District staff, and key representatives with other Federal, state and local agencies and private interests on assigned Civil Works projects.
- Participates in a variety of formal and informal meetings and conferences for the purpose of reaching agreements on the adequacy of environmental documents and mitigation plans.

GS-12: Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Bioligical Sciences Enviormental Planner I have one year of specialized experience directly related to this occupation equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal Government. This specialized experience includes: analyzing effects of actions on biological, physical, and/or ecological resources; developing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance documents, including direct responsibility for developing Environmental Assessment or Environmental Impact Statements in compliance with NEPA, as well as preparing compliance for other applicable environmental laws. Pay Range
$93,587.00 - $121,668.00
