Job Summary
This position is located in Referral Program Analyst Branch (RPAB), Office of Strategic Planning, Initiative Development, and Analysis (OSPIDA), Office of Science Management and Operations (OSMO), Office of the Director (OD), National Institute of Allergy and Infections Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Major Duties
- Interprets the research being proposed in the grant application, makes assignment decisions and resolves conflicts.
- As a senior level Biologist, the incumbent provides guidance and technical assistance.
- Supports and assist the Branch Chief and NIAID and NIH data coordinators in managing the internal coding and reporting database applications.
- Requests, develop supporting scientific or/and technical analysis for the reports.
- Prepares tabulations and drafts sections of technical reports as requested by the Coordinators.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Biologist GS-401-13, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Possess a Bachelor's degree, or graduate/higher level degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of this position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained; AND You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: reviewing research, training, and fellowship grant applications; analyzing scientific approaches for research and training projects; reviewing internal coding and reporting database applications; and developing reports that include scientific or technical analysis. Pay Range
$102,663.00 - $133,465.00
