Major Duties
- Serve as a technical expert and authority in the CDRH quality management program, performing a variety of duties to support the development, implementation and auditing, of CDRH quality management and operational excellence efforts.
- Provide strategic leadership and support for the development, implementation, and improvement of a comprehensive quality management system within CDRH.
- As the technical authority in the area of biology, perform critical reviews of scientific or technical procedures, methodologies, inspections, and investigations in areas that require extensive interpretation.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
In order be eligible for the position of Biologist (QM), (GS-0401-14), you must meet the following requirements... Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
You must possess one year (52-weeks) of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. For the GS-14 level, you must possess one year of experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service, experience includes:Providing scientific and analytical expertise in consulting on a wide variety of scientific topics, process improvement methods and quality management/organizational excellence processes and procedures, leading, evaluating, and improving scientific, regulatory, strategic, and organizational process and procedures using process improvement, quality management and organizational excellence tools, applying scientific and continual improvement approaches to accomplish problem resolution, and improvement of scientific, business and quality management processes of an organization. Pay Range
$121,316.00 - $157,709.00
