Job Summary

These positions are locatedinOffice of the Administrator, Office of Policy, Office of Federal Activities, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Compliance Division. MajorDuties

You will:

- Perform policy analysis in the regulation and policy development for EPA's National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

- Provide advice and guidance to agency decision makers through inter-agency work groups.

- Assist in the development of national policy issues focused on EPA NEPA compliance.

- Serve as the point of contact and principle reviewer on matters related to EPA comments on federal agency proposed NEPA actions.

One or more positions may be filled.

Qualifications

In addition to the educational requirements, we are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:

To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as providing advice to an organization on NEPA implementation and compliance; serving as a program liaison on NEPA related compliance issues.

Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1)Knowledge of environmental science principles, practices, and theories in relation to public health protection; 2)Skill in developing and modifying analytical methods; 3)Skill in oral communication; 4)Skill in written communication; 5) Skill in managing projects; 6)Ability to develop new approaches and to investigate critical problems within NEPA compliance guidelines; 7)Ability to facilitate conflict resolution.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Pay Range

$99,172.00 - $128,920.00
