Job Summary
You will serve as a CARTOGRAPHER in the Facilities System Management Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER.
Major Duties
- You will analyze geospatial data from imagery, GIS databases, and various ancillary sources.
- You will consult with customers to identify and specify requirements for geospatial data, complex mapping solutions and spatial analysis.
- You will create outputs, such as maps, tables, and graphs in both hard copy format and electronic format (JPG, PDF, ect.) using standard desktop and geographic information system software and related equipment.
- You will model or derive new information from existing data sets, determine significance of results, and infer conclusions and apply visualization techniques to display information and aid decision-making processes.
- You will present and review the maps with Data Managers, end-users, and other customers, and answer questions to ensure correct map interpretation.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide technical expertise in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) to include; analyze geospatial data from imagery, create outputs such as maps, tables, and graphs, presents and reviews maps with Data Managers, prepare GIS documentation in accordance with agency standards, conduct studies and analysis for the application of GIS solutions, and assist in development of statement of work for contracting technical services. Pay Range
$55,204.00 - $71,764.00
