Job Summary

You will serve as a CIVIL ENGINEER in the FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND ACQUISITION DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Major Duties

  • You will prepare outlines of services, scopes of work, construction estimates, or engineering fee estimates for work to be performed under Architect-Engineer contracts.
  • You will investigate construction to identify major problems and initiate corrective actions.
  • You will meet with personnel (e.g., architectural and engineering experts, consultants) to resolve construction project issues.
  • You will brief senior level leadership on the progress achieved toward meeting strategic objectives.
  • You will use computer aided design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) to prepare concept designs, final working drawings, and engineering calculations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Producing and developing civil engineering design packages, including design drawings, plans, specifications and design-build requests for proposal; 2) Reviewing civil engineering design submittals to provide subject matter expert acceptance recommendations to officials; 3) Providing civil engineering design consultation services to officials during construction. Pay Range

$82,579.00 - $107,357.00
