Major Duties
- As a Hydraulic Engineer, serves as senior technical expert within the Kansas City District Corps of Engineers
- Serves as a regional technical expert for hydraulic aspects of riverine projects including Missouri River Bank Stabilization and Navigation Project, aquatic habitat improvement projects, Section 14, Section 206, and various flood control projects.
- Provides planning guidance on technical aspects of navigation, bank stabilization, and aquatic habitat projects related to the rivers in the Kansas City District through all phases from initiation to final design.
- Responsible for quality assurance for all river projects to assure sufficiency, practicability, compliance with design requirements and established criteria, and are feasible to construct.
- Serves as District advisor in engineering matters pertaining to riverine navigation and aquatic habitat.
- Represents the District and makes presentations at meetings, conferences, seminars, etc., with representatives of higher authority and with representatives of other Federal, State and local agencies.
- Financial management is an included part of the duties and responsibilities of the position. Including assurance that sufficient funds are available for program execution, determination of fund allocation among studies, and funds are properly managed

Pay Range
$92,159.00 - $119,810.00
