Job Summary

You will serve as a CIVIL ENGINEER (STRUCTURAL) within NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 12.62% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.

Major Duties

  • You will provide professional specialized engineering products, services and consultation for the design, construction and maintenance of Navy and Marine Corps facilities.
  • You will apply advanced structural engineering principles and practices to shore facilities including piers, housing, medical facilities and aviation facilities.
  • You will perform Quality Assurance reviews of drawings, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, and studies prepared by design firms for large, complex projects.
  • You will apply knowledge of Federal guide specifications, criteria and policy, industry codes and standards, and standard practices related to civil and structural engineering design, as related to the design of facilities in high seismic areas
  • You will solve complex design or build and construction problems in the creation of appropriate contract documents for Architecture/ Engineering (A/E) firms.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide civil/structural engineering planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities (e.g. special projects, military construction (MILCON), demolition, maintenance, space utilization and facilities development). Pay Range

$78,927.00 - $101,947.00
