Job Summary
You will serve as the Division Technical Director at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWCPCD) of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). This position is a direct report to Technical Director, NSWC who serves as a SES. The incumbent has responsibility for 24 military, 1475 civilians, and approximately 800 contractors.
Major Duties
- You will oversee the technical direction of research and development and in-service engineering programs of NSWCPC in areas such as mine warfare systems, mines and countermeasures, special warfare, amphibious warfare, and diving and life support.
- You will be responsible for the long term stewardship of Division technical capabilities, including facilities and people, and the support infrastructure for Technical Authority Warrant Holders.
- You will be responsible for the strategic use of manpower, funds, facilities and equipment.
- You will direct the development and execution of NSWCPC strategic planning and goals, incorporating the Strategic Plan tenets and organizational goals, and continually evaluate progress towards those goals.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that NSWCPC understands and adheres to all federal and state environmental laws and regulations.

Knowledge of defense organization, mission, and operations (including technologies, design, systems engineering, systems acquisition, engineering development, test and evaluation, logistics engineering, Fleet introduction, in-service support, and disposal). 2. Ability to assess and balance current and projected mission requirements, capabilities, and workload demand with current and future workforce of scientists, engineers and requisite facilities. 3. Knowledge of Navy Working Capital Fund business and financial management systems and principles, and the ability to plan and direct technical and business functions. 4. Ability to plan, direct, and resolve technical and business issues of mine warfare systems, mines and countermeasures, special warfare, amphibious warfare, dividing and life support, and other naval missions that take place primarily in the coastal regions. 5. Knowledge of and competence in broad areas of Naval combat systems science and technology; project management and execution; and research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) acquisition policy in such areas as mine warfare systems, mines and countermeasures, special warfare, amphibious warfare, diving and life support, and other naval missions that take place primarily in the coastal regions. Pay Range
$166,507.00 - $197,300.00
