Job Summary
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. You will serve as a ENGINEER in the Range Development Division, Range Systems Engineering Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. You will perform as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of Telecommunications Systems Engineering (SE) within the Range Systems Engineering Department.
Major Duties
- You will support Program Manager Training Systems, Defense Policy Review Initiative, Marine Corps Systems Command, Naval Oceanographic Office, among other major program initiatives.
- You will lead and assign all telecommunications systems engineering efforts for division project teams ensuring they function effectively and efficiently throughout the RS10 design-build-deliver processes.
- You will provide critical oversight at all stages of project execution including concept development, requirements refinement, system design, installation and integration, acceptance testing and system sustainment.
- You will develop and achieve the Command Strategic Plans technical capability in infrastructure engineering and with the overall Command Strategic Plan.
- You will collaborate and participate on working groups with program managers, government activities, Fleet and industry providing broad-reaching technical direction regarding telecommunication infrastructure supporting Navy and Marine Corps programs.
- You will interface with high-level program managers and technical authorities to develop new training system capabilities and the ability to promote the technical capabilities of the command and knowledge to develop new customer lines.
- You will develop and document methods, techniques and technical processes for telecommunications systems engineering.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band ND-04 (GS-12/13) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer providing oversight of telecommunications systems engineering products and process to ensure systems function effectively and efficiently. Pay Range
$104,182.00 - $170,800.00
