Job Summary

You will serve as a Technical Development Lead in the ELECTRONIC WARFARE AND SENSOR SYSTEMS DIVISION, ELECTROMAGNETIC AND SENSOR SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.

Major Duties

  • You will carry out critical research towards the development of controllable electromagnetic materials, including meta-materials.
  • You will provide leadership for materials research, materials structure design.
  • You will provide leadership in the modeling and simulation of controllable electromagnetic materials spectrum interactions
  • You will model and simulate electromagnetic systems and electromagnetic interactions, and analyze the related physical phenomenon associated with electromagnetism to support testing of novel materials.
  • You will provide testing and evaluation of developed materials, and sponsor engagement for the advancement of materials research and the development of materials.
  • You will apply statistics associated with planning, conducting, analyzing and interpreting controlled tests to evaluate the factors that control the value of a parameter, or group of parameters.
  • You will brief Senior Department of Defense, Navy, Science and Technology Leadership, Department, Division, and Branch personnel on technical projects and accomplishments.
  • You will collaborate with new organizations within assigned activity, within Navy, and within Department of Defense towards new applications and electromagnetic material development.
  • You will develop and refine Science and Technology road map for the continued exploration of novel electromagnetic materials and capabilities.
  • You will develop and refine Research and Development road map for continued development and transition of emerging electromagnetic materials capabilities as related to electromagnetic warfare applications.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band (ND-04; GS-12/13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist leading research and development projects that test, evaluate and validate the use of controllable electromagnetic materials with new and emerging electronic warfare and sensor system technology products. Pay Range

$102,663.00 - $170,800.00
