Job Summary
You will serve as an ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Global Deterrence and Defense Department, Trusted Microelectronics Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The ND-5 pay band is equivalent to the GS-14/15 pay grades.
Major Duties
- You will serve as Chief Engineer - Trusted Microelectronics Division.
- You will provide leadership for the Division to ensure technical competencies are maintained in core technical areas, identify gaps, and improve technical rigor and continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
- You will evaluate microelectronic devices via test and evaluation methods, military microelectronic test standards, tools and techniques for a wide range of electronic component technologies.
- You will provide strategic planning, senior-level technical engineering, subject matter expertise, and programmatic leadership for the support of trusted microelectronics technologies utilized in strategic weapons systems.
- You will serves as the primary Division liaison and subject matter expert on Trusted Microelectronics technologies.
- You will develop, manage, and sustain a state-of-the-art microelectronics evaluation capability.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist evaluating the performance of microelectronic devises to identify and resolve performance issues for strategic weapons systems. Pay Range
$91,231.00 - $164,858.00
