Major Duties
- You will be providing state of the art engineering/scientific guidance in systems and component design, development, test, operation, maintenance and disposal technologies.
- You will make clear and convincing oral presentations.
- You will be performing research, development, planning and coordination in the engineering/scientific areas of Littoral and Mine Warfare Systems; Expeditionary and Maritime Systems; Science and Technology.
- You will assess customer needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
- You will understand and interpret written material, including technical material, rules, regulations, instructions, reports, charts, graphs, or tables; applies what is learned from written material to specific situations.
- You will organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirement; determine short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them.
- You will coordinate with other organizations or parts of the organization.
- You will demonstrate application of professional knowledge in the area of engineering, computer, mathematical OR scientific concepts and principles as it relates to discipline.
- You will make sound, well informed and objective decisions.
- You will perceive the impact and implications of decisions, commits to action, even in uncertain situations, to accomplish organizational goals.
- You will advise others on technical issues.
- You will be preparing reports and recommendations related to engineering/scientific projects.
Qualifications
In addition to basic education requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09/11 grade level or ND-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following as a professional engineer or scientist evaluating information related programs or projects to develop or execute technical plans for a broad range of tasks and problems. Pay Range
$64,009.00 - $118,603.00
