Job Summary

You will serve as an Engineer/Scientist in the Special Warfare and Expeditionary Systems Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Major Duties

  • You will serve as Chief Engineer overseeing all technical aspects for a portfolio of mission command, geospatial and military intelligence systems.
  • You will manage the technical collaborative efforts internal to the Program Manager Mission Support Systems (PM MSS) portfolio.
  • You will provide guidance and direction to all PM MSS portfolio engineers for the development, integration, testing, and sustainment for all PM MSS portfolio software and hardware.
  • You will plan conduct, coordinate, and advise on projects, tests, and programs of broad scope and complexity involving DoD network centric enterprise service issues and the Defense Intelligence and Security Enterprise (DISE).
  • You will develop and implement a framework for the specification of the Distributed Common Ground System/Surface System ? Special Operations Forces, geospatial, and mission command physical components.
  • You will analyze capabilities, problems and issues, and coordinate test concepts and plans to assess or verify interoperability/operational effectiveness and suitability in support of technical projects.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 pay band (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist leading test and evaluation projects to identify operational effectiveness of new technology for electronic warfare systems or components. Pay Range

$91,231.00 - $164,858.00
