Job Summary

Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. MajorDuties

  • Preparing and maintaining Environmental Policies, memorandums, programs, and plans.
  • Maintaining Environmental databases, compiling, and analyzing data to produce reports and other forms, such as, Hazardous Material Management System.
  • Following up and assuring adequate implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
  • Preparing budget/reports or other data for submission to appropriate personnel.
  • Assisting with review of operating systems deficiencies and making recommendations for problem solutions.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes to the GS-06 level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Assisting in maintaining various Hazardous Material and/or Waste Management environmental programs; 2) Utilize automated systems and software to compile budget and environment reports; or 3) Assisting with gathering, compiling, and maintaining environmental statistical data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Position may be converted to permanent without further competition. Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years. Temporary reassignment may be made or extended at management discretion. Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of two years. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range

$43,251.00 - $56,222.00
