Job Summary

You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Environmental Business Line of ENGRFLDACT, NW/RESOFCHARGECONST EFA.

Major Duties

  • You will serve as a program lead and technical authority within the Commander Navy Region Northwest (COMNAVREG) NW and Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest (NAVFAC NW) environmental program.
  • You will serve as a senior staff assistant and advisor to the Environmental Regional Program Director (RPD) and COMNAVREG NW on environmental matters.
  • You will support COMNAVREG NW and the Environmental RPD with environmental outreach and partnerships.
  • You will maintain a good working relationships with various Federal, State, and local regulators, with non-governmental organizations, and with the public
  • You will supports public outreach conducted by the Navy under the National Environmental Policy Act and under the Navy?s Environmental Restoration Program
  • You will coordinate the preparation of regional plans of action.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Review proposed environmental legislation and regulations to determine impact on Navy installations and operation; 2) Compile data and information to present briefing papers and recommendations to Senior Leadership; 3) Draft new policies, processes, budget submittals and instructions for consideration by leadership; and 4) lead an environmental program or project including plan development and coordination. Pay Range

$96,656.00 - $125,651.00
