Major Duties
- You will advise personnel (e.g., higher-graded specialists, supervisors, operating officials) on environmental compliance and pollution prevention programs.
- You will obtain permits to maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
- You will coordinate hazardous spill containment with federal and state regulatory agencies.
- You will conduct briefings or training programs to disseminate information about environmental projects or programs.
- You will prepare formal responses to regulatory deficiencies, notices of violation, non-compliance, or administrative orders for environmental violations.
- You will conduct inspections to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Preparing and conducting briefings or training on environmental programs to inform and educate communities; 2) Conducting inspections of facilities and operations to identify and document compliance with regulatory guidance; and 3) Organizing, administering and/or evaluating an environmental protection program (e.g., Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Pay Range
$54,552.00 - $70,918.00
