Job Summary

You will serve as a Environmental Protection Specialist in the Facility Management Branch Naval Hospital, Marine Corps Base of OIC, HEALTHCARE SUPPORT OFFICE.

Major Duties

  • You will develop written responses to inspections, including Plan of Actions and Milestones.
  • You will Coordinate data gathering and compliance for data calls.
  • You will participate in the planning, implementation, drills and exercises for spill response.
  • You will review proposed plans, designs, and projects from a technical environmental view point to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • You will monitor compliance with Federal and related North Carolina regulations such as Clean Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Toxic Substances Control Act, etc.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience coordinating environmental compliance inspections and evaluations with federal/state regulations Experience providing environmental compliance support in areas such as but not limited to: Solid Waste, Air Quality, Surface/Storm/Waste Water/Pollution Prevention (P2), Precious Metals Recovery (PMR) Experience monitoring environmental compliance with regulations such as: Clean Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, Superfund Amendments and Re-authorization Act, etc Experience monitoring and directing on-going environmental compliance requiring record keeping and documentation Experience conducting and overseeing studies on environmental compliance issues Experience providing documentation on the progress of ongoing compliance efforts and resolution Experience investigating all compliance related complaints, reports findings and resolves problems Experience participating in the development and review of reports, plans, specifications, permit applications, time schedules, statements of work, and cost estimates. Pay Range

$64,009.00 - $83,210.00
