Job Summary

You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND HEALTH DEPARTMENT of PSNS.

Major Duties

  • You will direct cleanup and/or mitigation efforts, assist in critiques if necessary, determine spill source and assist in development of appropriate corrective actions.
  • You will update instructions as required to keep them current with regulatory changes.
  • You will review technical work documents for compliance with shipyard instructions and regulatory requirements.
  • You will provide support to other organizations when requested to assist in planning or resolving compliance issues.
  • You will identify training requirements for all personnel involved in the environmental program.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: GS-11:

One year at the next lower level, equivalent to a GS-09, evaluating the environmental impact of industrial processes and procedures by reviewing inspection data to make recommendations for the correction of environmental compliance concerns. GS-09:

One year at the next lower level, equivalent to a GS-07, collecting and analyzing environmental data by performing work site inspections to ensure work practices and procedures are compliant with environmental laws and regulations. Pay Range

$56,051.00 - $88,166.00
