Major Duties
You will:
- Serve as the Training Specialist for the Office of Environmental Justice.
- Develop, implement and research training courses for program staff, external stakeholders, community members, other federal agencies, and state, Tribal and local governments.
- Provide guidance, consultation and assistance to top management and employees in identifying, evaluating, and fulfilling the goals of an Environmental Justice program.
- Develop new approaches to the training program, systems utilization, and needs' evaluations in relation to mission requirements and budget limitations.
- Conduct research and stay abreast of research into relevant programs to develop strategies and plans to accomplish long-term goals.
Qualifications
You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as developing and conducting training for an Environmental Justice program; providing advice/recommendations related to environmental justice programs.
Your answers to the on-line assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1)Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and laws related to environmental justice; 2) Ability to develop e-learning curriculum and training materials; 3) Skill in written communication;4) Ability to advise an organization on strategic goals and objectives; 5)Skill in oral communication; 6) Ability to apply various methods and techniques for analyzing and developing creative solutions to training curriculum; 7)Ability to stay abreast of current methods and practices within environmental justice programs.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Pay Range
$102,663.00 - $133,465.00
