Job Summary
You will serve as an Environmental Protection Specialist in the Environmental Business Line of ENGRFLDACT, NW/RESOFCHARGECONST EFA in Whidbey Island, WA.
Major Duties
- You will conduct compliance inspections manage for one or more environmental programs (e.g, EMS, air quality, water quality, spill prevention and response, solid and hazardous waste, toxic substances control, Emergency Planning,
- You will collect environmental data and samples, and analyze and interpret laboratory reports to determine the presence of hazardous environmental conditions and the degree of compliance with regulatory requirements.
- You will inform higher graded specialists, supervisor and program managers, on matters concerning environmental compliance and pollution prevention programs.
- You will develop environmental reports as required by state or federal regulations or as required by Navy policy
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Making recommendations on technical matters based on review of current practices; Providing solutions to problems identified in environmental programs; Performing environmental inspections, investigations and enforcement of regulations; and Ensuring compliance with environmental reporting requirements. Pay Range
$56,051.00 - $72,862.00
