Job Summary

You will serve as a Environmental Protection Specialist with NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.

Major Duties

  • You will assist in the pick up, transport, repacking and proper storage of hazardous, solid and industrial wastes.
  • You will inspect and inventory chemical waste at the storage facilities.
  • You will conduct a variety of test for qualitative and quantitative determination of various elements found in hazardous wastes.
  • You will collect samples of the hazardous chemicals from containers for laboratory analysis.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying and evaluating waste's hazards in a wide variety of work sites; 2) Maintaining records of hazardous and solid waste inventory, incoming/outgoing hazardous and solid waste and storage locations; ans 3) Gathering, correlating, and analyzing facts and presenting conclusions in clear, concise statements. Pay Range

$54,552.00 - $70,918.00
